Not working manuals

Hi community,

I tried to follow the manuals like "Developing an Extra" (http://rtfm.modx.com/revolution/2.x/case-studies-and-tutorials/developing-an-extra-in-modx-revolution) but there is a lot of "magic".

There is instruction about putting xPDO xml at the end of snippet code (which does not work).
If i put the code to the external XML file, there is code that define a lot of constants, which should generate the PDO classes. (which does not work).
When I found the way how to generate these files, there is a code to create table from this classes (which does not work).

Please, is there any valid documentation without these "magic"????

Hm. Looks like something has been skipped in that documentation. That has nothing to do with the snippet; that's the /core/components/doodles/model/schema/doodles.mysql.schema.xml file. A whole section about creating the schema has been lost.

Until it gets fixed, here's my copy of it saved as a full web page with accompanying files - just load the html in a browser.

Yes, the docs are in transition right now and some information is missing.
