Right now i develop something like community portal using modx.
Some words of what should i get:
every registered user have a personal page, where he posts his photos, links to youtube videos and can answer to another users’ questions. Each user also has a number of fields, like name, profile, userpic, karma, etc.
current user count is about 3000 and 5-10 users are joining daily.
How i’m goind to implement this:
Each user profile has a field with document id. this id points to main user’s page, which holds a template with tv’s for userpic, karma and other details. main users page have some children. For now, it is 1) gallery child, which also holds some pages, each page holding info about one picture (link, comments, rating etc) and 2)youtube link child, with similar strucure. The comments is simply made with jot.
Is that the right solution or i will wait hours if id’l like to open users’ tree in backend and will have some other productivity issues?
