    Dear all,

    I am using FormIT and a template (&emailTpl=`emailTpl_en`) to format the mail that the website owner recives.

    When I configed, I save my e-mail adress into the parameter &mailto (&emailTo=`[email protected]`), but I finished I changed it to my client email adress. But now he told me when he send a message from the form, and he enter his e-mail adress field, and he send it. He told me that e-mail is send from me. It means, he see my e-mail address in the FROM field of the e-mail, while it should the email address that he entered into the e-mail field. Its email address.

    I thin it's acche problem but I am jot sure because I cleaned the cache from the menu Site->Clear cache.

    Here is my code

    [[!FormIt? &hooks=`math,spam,email,redirect,FormItAutoResponder` &store=`0` &emailUseFieldForSubject=`1` &emailTpl=`emailTpl_en` &emailTo=`[email protected]` &redirectTo=`[[*id]]` &fiarTpl=`autoResponseTplEn` &fiarSubject=`Thank You for Contacting Us` &fiarToField=`emailen` &fiarFromName=`Title ([email protected])` &fairReplyTo=`[email protected]` &validate=`nameen:required,firstnameen:required,emailen:email:required,commenten:required:stripTags`]]

    [[!+fi.error_message:notempty=`[[!+fi.error_message]]`]]

    <h4>Contact</h4>
    <form id="form" action="[[~[[*id]]]]" method="post">
    <input name="nospam:blank" type="hidden" />
    <input name="subject" value="Message sent from your web site" type="hidden" />
    	<span class="error">[[!+fi.error.nameen]]</span>
          <input name="nameen" type="text" id="nameen" placeholder="Name *" value="[[!+fi.nameen]]" />
    	  <span class="error">[[!+fi.error.firstnameen]]</span>

          <textarea name="commenten" id="commenten" placeholder="Message *" rows="4">[[!+fi.commenten]]</textarea>

          <span style="text-decoration:underline;margin-bottom:5px;">Security code* : </span><span></span><br>
          <table class="tb_form"><tr><td width="62">[[!+fi.op1]] [[!+fi.operator]] [[!+fi.op2]] =</td><td>

          <input id="captcha" type="text" name="math:required" value="[[!+fi.math]]" style="width:26px; height:16px;" />
          <input type="hidden" name="op1" value="[[!+fi.op1]]" />
          <input type="hidden" name="op2" value="[[!+fi.op2]]" />
    	   <input type="hidden" name="operator" value="[[!+fi.operator]]" />

    	   </td>
    	   <td>
          <input type="submit" name="submit"  id="submit" value="Send" style="margin-left:3px;width:65px;"/>
    	  </td>
    	  </tr>
    	  </table>
    	  [[!+fi.error.math]]
    </form>

    Thank a lot

      Did you try adding a fiarFrom parameter?

      &fiarFrom=`[email protected]`

      Otherwise it will default to the email in the systems settings.

        Heu non, if think it will not work, because when he received an e-mail, the FROM field of the email should be the email that it filled up into the e-mail field of the form
        <input name="emailen" type="email" id="emailen" placeholder="E-mail *" value="[[!+fi.emailen]]" />

        .
        If I set a fixed value, it will never change. Morever your suggestion seams to be related to the FormItAutoResponder, isn't? [ed. note: pierrot1010 last edited this post 13 years, 2 months ago.]

          I think it because of this
          emailen
          Since I changed all to
          email
          . It works. May be, it recognize only the field called
          email
          and if there is not it will use the e-mail (as recipient sender) which is configured in the system preference
