    Hi @all,

we are trying to get an ExtJS Window shown when somebody successfully uploaded image(s) / or any other media files ('OnFileManagerUpload') in the manager. Our task is to add additional data to the images (e.g. meta information), mostly via a component.

    Is this possible?
    Is 'OnFileManagerUpload' the correct event?

Everybody with just a hint, tip, trick, hack is very welcome.

MODx Revolution 2.2.7 is the version we have to deal with...

    Thanks

I don't know if there is any original Javascript event trigger, so I believe you can't use plugin.
If you're about to create your own CMP, you can try to upload the files through it instead.

May be you can check about uploading and adding additional info to each file through CMP using Upload To Users CMP.

MODx is great, but knowing how to use it well makes it perfect!

        Hi @goldsky,

thanks for your reply. I know it's more or less doable with a CMP, but:

We need to add the meta-data (or whatsoever) on the event of a file upload, so whenever a media file gets uploaded. A perfect scenario: When creating or updating a resource and you want to add an image via a TV to a resource. With a CMP the user needs to go to the CMP, upload the file, add the meta-data, go back (or start) creating the resource.

We want to have a ExtJS window pop up and all the available input fields for meta-data rendered there. You fill in the meta-data and it's stored in a db-table for further use. A CMP (in our case) is just for updating/removing/... and other actions.

Do you think one of the MODx core guys could be of help?

Found a solution to hook into it! It's not that pretty, but it works...
