Using Windows Live Writer with a MODx blog?

Has anyone experimented with the Microsoft’s Window Live Writer? I noticed the application supports non-Microsoft services like Blogger, Wordpress, TypePad, Live Journal, etc. I don’t generally, blog, so I haven’t had any experience with Windows Live Writer, but I imagine requests from users of a few sites will be on the way shortly.

Is MODx compatible with Windows Live Writer, and if not how can go about getting the two compatible. I’m just wondering if anyone with experience has worked on this yet.

Anyone?

Anyone?

Windows Live Writer likely requires an API that most blog software already supports for post submissions from 3rd-party tools. I do not believe anyone has written such a feature for MODx, but it is certainly possible.

Indeed, there aren’t really any APIs for external content creation tools in MODx currently, so none of those would work. Susan is working on a post-from-email, but that’s a different beast. ScottyD, our fine pirate friend, was also working on an OS X app called Command Control to do this as well which you could probably leverage his server-side bit to accomplish this.
