install modx in directory rather than root?

    Hi
    I installed modx in a directory instead of in my website root
    ie www.mysite.com/mymodx/

    but now i have a problem! when the user clicks on a link on the page and it does not EXIST!
    I get the following error
    "Not Found

    The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.
    Apache/2.0.59 (CentOS) Server at www.swiitch.com Port 80"

    modx is trying to find index.php under the "root" not my installed directory "mymodx"

    how do I fix this, everything seems to be correctly setup!.

        it works now I rename ht.access to .htaccess and edited the path.
        works!!
