    I eliminated the onclick event to try submitting with JS. Errors show up appropriately but when all the required fields are filled the form just bounces back (a behavior similar to when the name of submit doesn't match the &submitVar property (of the register call).

    If it's something that will take too much of your time to look in, please disregard, the JS will suffice for now.

      You could try this:

      Put back the onclick event, but in the JavaScript, add this as the first line of the checkForm function.

      return true;

      It goes just below this line:

      function checkform(form) {

      You could also comment out line 113 of the subscribe form snippet:

      Change this:

      $modx->regClientStartupScript($jsPath . $jsFile);

      to this:

      // $modx->regClientStartupScript($jsPath . $jsFile);

      When you change the form to remove the onClick event, be sure to remove the "return false" part. IOW, change this:

      <form class="sbs_register_form" action="[[~[[*id]]]]" method="post" onsubmit="return checkform(this); return false;">

      to this:

      <form class="sbs_register_form" action="[[~[[*id]]]]" method="post">

      That should let you test the action without the JS.

      My guess is that your problem is caused by the cache (either MODX's or your browser's). JavaScript tends to hang around in the browser cache.

        Ok. I'll try and update you.

        I've implementing Notify and wow it was. Esp the automatic filling of the page with the form controls when you click Launch Notify. How long did it take you to create this?

        Where do I place the &groups property to change it from the default (Subscribers)?

          If I told you how long it took, I don't think you'd believe me (but then I'm a pretty slow programmer). wink

          The easiest way to set the groups is to change the 'groups' default property on the Properties tab of the Notify Snippet.

          You can also hard-code it into the NfNotifyFormTpl chunk in place of this placeholder:

          [[+nf_groups]]

          Note that in both cases your change will be overwritten when you upgrade Notify and you'll have to redo it. Unfortunately, it can't be added to the snippet tag because there isn't one. wink

          I probably should have made it a System Setting so its value could survive upgrades.
