How to create Snippet in Modx?

What are the requirements to create a Good Snippet in Modx? I am a newbie and so, anyone who is expertise in writing a MODX snippet pls help me.

It basically just a matter of writing PHP code that returns a string.

Say you create a snippet called MySnippet and put this tag on a page:

[[MySnippet]]

The tag will be replaced by whatever the snippet returns:

<?php
/* MySnippet */

$output = "Hello World!";

return $output;
