Hi,
Is there any way to change the way the automatically generated SEO aliases are made:
Instead of my-page-alias.php, can I have mypagealias.php or my_page_alias.php

If you do that they will no longer be human readable or SEO’d. There is abundant and verified documentation that Google up until recently (July 2007) only has the ability to see keywords in hyphenated URLs. It had not been able to see keywords in underscore separated words or with other separators. Here is an article relating to it:

Just to clarify: Are you using the SEO URLs snippet or the default friendly urls in MODx.

Hi Jay,
I’m using the default MODx friendly URL’s
I had a look at the SEO URLs snippet and I didn’t see a way to convert the hyphens to underscores.

Actually, after looking at the SEO Strict plugin I don’t see where to change the separator. It may be that you might have to make a plugin that can override the furl write. I don’t know how easy it would be but I am sure that it is doable. It just may be more hassle than its worth.
Cheers,
Jay
