    modx revo 2.2.7-pl

    goDaddy server

    Installed fine everything was working using this path. domain.com/hosted/clientdomain.com/path
    after the client changed their domain to point to our hosting clientdomain.com/path the manager no longer works correctly.

    Its showing up with no css and login does not work. When I check the path of the modx image i get:
    https://clientdomain.com/hosted/clientdomain.com/manager/templates/default/images/style/modx-logo-color.png when I should get https://clientdomain.com/manager/templates/default/images/style/modx-logo-color.png

    when I go to clientdomain.com I can see the site but some image have the wrong path but as I navigate in the site other images have the correct path.

    Any clues?

    Thanks

      Did you alter the config files after pointing the domain to the server? If the development install was using a temporary path, you'll need to update the config files to the new path.

      See here, the config file information is about halfway down this document.

        That was my first thought but the config files match the same structure I have in any other sites I have hosted in this directory. The only difference is that I had the domains were ready before doing the modx install in the past.

        so I would setup by going to:
        clientdomain.com/setup

        in this case when I did the setup:
        domain.com/hosted/clientdomain.com/setup

        then was granted access to the domain later.

        I've also tried running setup again using clientdomain.com/setup and it didn't change anything.

          Have you fully cleared the cache?

            Yes I've fully cleared the cache and used another browser to try and connect and I still see the same issues. set compress_css and compress_js to 0.

              It really sounds like a cache problem since some pages are OK. If you haven't already, manually delete all files in the core/cache directory.

              Also, check all your templates to make sure that they have a base href tag in the head section that's not hard-coded and uses only the site_url System Setting, like this:

              <base href='[[++site_url]]' />

              If you have multiple contexts, or if the problem persists, try this (with the added exclamation point):

              <base href='[[!++site_url]]' />

                I deleted the cache manually multiple times. And had the site url in for my base href tag. Because of the issues I'm having with the manager It leads me to believe like Frogabog said that it is a config file setting. Bob I'll send you a link in a PM.

                      We're running out of things to try. wink

                      Check the path in the modx_workspaces table in the DB.

                      Check the paths in the config.core.php files in these directories:

                      MODX root directory
                      manager/
                      connectors/

                      See if there's anything in the MODX error log.

                      If there's an .htaccess file, check the ReWrite Base line (in fact, I would turn off Friendly URLs in the modx_system_settings table in the DB and rename .htaccess for now).
