    Hello there.

We have a rather special set up for a site that needs to support a large amount of users.

There is a load balancer, 5 web servers and 1 database server. The 5 web servers are running modX, connecting to 1 database.

    It runs well and fast!

To update the site we are login into the manager through 1 of the nodes but we are having issues with the changes propagating to the other servers, so for a long time we will get different versions showing up every time you refresh the page that was updated.

If I clear the cash for each node (1 by 1 though the control panel or deleting the cache files), then everything works.

We need a long term solution so they all sync with the database without having to update every server..

Is there a known solution for this issue please?

    Thanks,
    Marcela

Using central cache server like memcached could be one option. xPDO supports variety of caches but memcached first popped into mind

          Thanks Dunnock,
Just one thing.. is memcached intended to speed the site up plus sort my sync problem out?

          I will have a look!

I believe it should take the issue with cache away as it is only one server. You could possibly sacrifice one server for memcached usage only. Could work on side of the dbserver also. And yes, it definitely should speed up your site anyways.
