I want to put the login, forgot password and register buttons on my sidebar, and have them running from there, opening the referred documents in the content section. So I put the snippet call into the sidebar, but despite numerous trials, the messages and forms keep appearing in the sidebar area.

Do you have a solution, can you point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance. kiss

Look in the templates for the various cases. The template is rendered where the Snippet call is located. So just crop the parts you wish to display in the document section and paste it to antoher chunk which you place in your document.

        Thanks for helping me!

I want my user to log in/out on the sidebar, and the "login/logout messages" to appear in the content section. Shouldn’t I put the snippet call on the sidebar, but how do I refer the user to the "login message"-document that I want to appear in the content area?

Could you give me another hand? Thanks.

Well, I assume you don´t use custom templates. Look in assets/webloginpe/Default Forms, there you´ll see what I´m talking about. For the login thing it´s the defaultLoginFormtpl.html. On the very first line you see

          [+wlpe.message+]

That´s the placeholder for the message. You can define your own template by adding the parameter &loginFormTpl=`your_login_tpl` to your snippet call where your_login_form is a chunk containing the login template. Just take the content from the template mentioned above, put it in a chunk (your_login_tpl) and delete the message-placeholder. Then put this placeholder somewhere else, in a different Chunk (for putting it in the template, content or somewhere) or directly in your content. Then look if this works. But remember, the login template is not the only one which will be displayed, look also for the success template and so on. Take a look here: http://docs.webloginpe.info/views.html (or better in the docs folder of the snippet).

@Mods: Can someone move this topic here?

Thanks for your help! I was indeed already using the templates - the loginFormTpl just not appearing on the place where I wanted it to - and I’ve gone through the doc/index.html information at least a hundred times, but must have missed the importance of [+wlpe.message+] completely... thanks for putting me on track and directing me to the subforum, which I completely overlooked as well.

            kind regards, egorbrandt
