After I moved to a new server and solved many of the problems, the only thing I still can't find is this. "Files" tab isn't loading. It only shows "media" folder and nothing else. Modx version is 2.2.8-pl. If I press the "MODX Browser" icon, I can see all the folders but not the files. Hosting is a VPS.

    Any ideas?

      A few things to check.

Double-check the paths and URLs in the config.inc.php file.

      Manually empty the core/cache/ folder.

Clear your browser's cache and cookies for the domain.

Upload the setup folder from the original MODx zip archive and run setup in upgrade mode.

I noticed something more. Images whith greek characters in the path or/and with greek names are not loading anymore. I don't if this has something to do with resources tree also.

paths are ok. cache cleared or/and deleted. Same with browsers cache.

Upload from the original archive is not possible anymore since I've allready upgrade to last version...

Ah. When you moved the site, did you set the new database to have the same charset and collation as the original?

The problem with the resources tree not loading solved by disabling "Use Multibyte Extension".

Now I can see at my Filesystem tree that all folders that had greek names are blank and images with greek names are renamed to "image001", "image002" etc.

I think I set the new database with the same charset. Do you think I should try to delete the new database and import again the old one?

You can certainly do that. Make sure to check the database, using phpMyAdmin, to make sure that its charset and collation matches the original. Usually when creating a new database its charset and collation is latin-1, and latin_1_swedish_ci by default.

I tried to delete database and import again with no result. Charset and collation are correct.

The problem is that when some folders with Greek names in "assets/images" are blank now. When I try to rename them to the original (greek) name I get this message "Please specify a valid directory"!!!

Is there a setting I can look in the database to correct the problem? For some reason modx doesnot recoginze greek names in files or folders.
