As a follow-up, I removed the snippet from the reset password page and just placed some text on that page. When I click on the link from the e-mail to reset my password, the link never even goes to the reset password page, but directly to my home page (which is my default for any bad link).

Are you sure that resource #4 exists, is published, and is not protected?

To begin with, using the home page as the default not-found (error) page isn't a good idea. Setting up a proper Not Found page is always the first thing I do when installing a new site.
I presume you followed this?
http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/Login.ForgotPassword
I just set up a trial on a site I have under development, and got this URL:
http://mydomain.com/reset-password.html?lp=bnA1azdjeG0%253D&lu=dGVzdGluZw%253D%253D
Do you have friendly URLs turned on?
This is a brand new site I am developing and although I will create a 404 page, it is just further down my list.
Yes, I am following the instructions in that link.
I do have friendly URLs turned on; however, your URL includes reset-password.html where my URL only has my domain name. Hmmm. How did you do that? lol
I just manually added the reset-password.html to my link (yes, that is the alias name of my resource as well) and that did NOT fix the issue, so it is not that omission.

Hm. Ok... step by step.
1. Installed Login on the dev site.
2. Created "Members" (members, #20) page with simple [[!Login]] snippet.
3. Created "Reset Login" (reset-login, #21) page with simple [[!ResetPassword? &loginResourceId=`20`]] snippet.
3. Created "Forgot Password" (forgot-password, #22) page with simple [[!ForgotPassword? &resetResourceId=`21`]] snippet.
4. Added "Forgot password" link pointing to #22 on the Members login page.

And... here's your problem! &resetResourceID=`4` vs &loginResourceId=`4`
No, under "forgot password" I am using &resetResourceId=`4`. I have found what the problem is is when I click on the link it is going to mysite.com?yadayada instead of mysite.com/reset-password.html?yadayada.
If I add the /reset-password.html to the link sent by the e-mail, it works. I'm just not sure why it is not including the full path. I hate to go into the code and hardcode the path.
