    MODX Revolution 2.2.8-pl (traditional)

I looked through the forum prior to posting but found no current post regarding this issue. I am using the Login addon which works fine for, well ... logging in. However, I have an issue with resetting a password. When I click on reset password, the form comes up using the following snippet ([[!ForgotPassword? &resetResourceID=`4` &tpl=`lgnForgotPassTpl`]]). "4" is the resource for the actual ResetPassword page. I enter my username and e-mail address and I get an e-mail as expected from the site. When I click on the link however, it simply takes me to the home page. The snippet on my ResetPassword page looks like this ([[!ResetPassword? &loginResourceId=`2`]]) with "2" being the resource for my Login page.

The link I am receiving in the e-mail looks like this:
    http://www.mysite.com/?lp=MmduMDcxY2Q%253D&lu=MTgxMrdcdGVzdA%253D%253D

Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

As a follow-up, I removed the snippet from the reset password page and just placed some text on that page. When I click on the link from the e-mail to reset my password, the link never even goes to the reset password page, but directly to my home page (which is my default for any bad link).

Are you sure that resource #4 exists, is published, and is not protected?

I got your e-mail while I was outside and was anxious to get back to my computer, thinking for sure I was a doofus and the page wasn't published; however, that isn't the case. Triple checked that Resource 4 exists and is the correct resource, the resource is public and double checked and the page is not protected. It was a good suggestion though.

          Still open to suggestions!

To begin with, using the home page as the default not-found (error) page isn't a good idea. Setting up a proper Not Found page is always the first thing I do when installing a new site.

I presume you followed this? http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/Login.ForgotPassword

I just set up a trial on a site I have under development, and got this URL:
            http://mydomain.com/reset-password.html?lp=bnA1azdjeG0%253D&lu=dGVzdGluZw%253D%253D

Do you have friendly URLs turned on?

This is a brand new site I am developing and although I will create a 404 page, it is just further down my list.

Yes, I am following the instructions in that link.

I do have friendly URLs turned on; however, your URL includes reset-password.html where my URL only has my domain name. Hmmm. How did you do that? lol

I just manually added the reset-password.html to my link (yes, that is the alias name of my resource as well) and that did NOT fix the issue, so it is not that omission.

                  Hm. Ok... step by step.

                  1. Installed Login on the dev site.

                  2. Created "Members" (members, #20) page with simple [[!Login]] snippet.

                  3. Created "Reset Login" (reset-login, #21) page with simple [[!ResetPassword? &loginResourceId=`20`]] snippet.

                  3. Created "Forgot Password" (forgot-password, #22) page with simple [[!ForgotPassword? &resetResourceId=`21`]] snippet.

                  4. Added "Forgot password" link pointing to #22 on the Members login page.

                    And... here's your problem! &resetResourceID=`4` vs &loginResourceId=`4`

No, under "forgot password" I am using &resetResourceId=`4`. I have found what the problem is is when I click on the link it is going to mysite.com?yadayada instead of mysite.com/reset-password.html?yadayada.

If I add the /reset-password.html to the link sent by the e-mail, it works. I'm just not sure why it is not including the full path. I hate to go into the code and hardcode the path.
