I am trying to upgrade revo and having nightmares. I need to upgrade Wayfinder and other packages but whatever I try, things don't work. I get

Could not transfer package wayfinder-2.3.3-pl.transport.zip to /home/path.

I have verfied that the path is correct and it's writable. Files also get moved, it's just not recognising that it has done it successfully! Grrrr.

That happens for all the packages.

I also get a blank screen when trying to clear the cache. Is there a db setting that hasn't updated? My client's live site is broken and I need to fix it urgently!

    Thanks everyone

I would use your backup, which you made before upgrading and switch back to 2.0.8 to get the site running again.
Then try to upgrade on a Test - Installation, before doing it on the live-site.

thanks for your reply. yeah, well, i thought that, but then I am in a situation where I need to transfer content which won't be easy. For now, I have reverted and am trying to upgrade to the next version after 2.08 and see if that works

OK, trying to upgrade to 2.1 also did not work. Whenever I try to install a package, I am getting errors as above. No licence information either. I am wondering if there is something fundamentally wrong even before the upgrade (I have taken over this site) but I have no idea how I would find the problem. Any ideas how to best go about it?

Could you explain me what steps you've made during the upgrade?

                  sure
                  - backup db
                  - backup site dir
                  - upload new v 2.1, overwriting everything
                  - run setup

If i upgrade a MODX install i do the following things

                    1. Backup DB
                    2. Backup site
                    3. Overwriting files

                    Complete dirs/files
                    connectors
                    manager
                    setup
                    config.core.php
                    index.php

                    Core dir
                    docs
                    error
                    export
                    import
                    lexicon
                    model
                    xpdo

                    core/packages
                    core
                    core.transport.zip

                    4. run setup

                    5. Clear cache manually

                    6. Login and everything works like a charm

yep, that's what I thought would happen, but sadly not. Nothing works as expected and I don't know what to do. I NEED to upgrade Modx as I need to update components that don't work properly. But I can't upgrade it so I can't upgrade the components. Arrrgh!
