    Hi there,

    I've got the following settings:

    rb_base_dir: /home/username/public_html/assets/

    rb_base_url: assets/

But the resource browser still opens with the root folder when inserting an image. The development site is hosted on a shared server e.g. dev.domain.com/~username.

    1. How do you set the resource browser to open in the assets folder for all users?

    2. Is it possible to hide the "components" folder from the resource browser?

    Thanks,

    David

      1. You need to use media sources. The media source being used is the default (Filesystem) which by default points to the root directory IIRC.

Create a generic media source for all users and then assign it to their user group from the 'Media Source Access' tab.

      2. In a media source you can add 'components' to the skipFiles property.

Thank you Gibbs for pointing me in the right direction.

I did what you suggested and then found out how to set the default media source in this tutorial:
