    Hi all,

    just want to understand why modX makeUrl function behaves the way it does:

    core/model/modx/modcontext.class.php Lime: 304 to 307:
    case 'https':
          case 'http':
          $host= $scheme . '://' . $config['http_host'] . $config['base_url'];
          break;

    So it just ignores the site url option and uses http_host instead.

    why is that so? Wouldn't it be better to use site_url and just replace the protocol?

    If have site_url like this: http://domain.com/subfolder/ - my subfolder just gets kicked out and the urls are wrong.
