ImagePlus not working - is there really no image editor for modx???

I tried to use ImagePlus, but I can't get the error message fixed (Invalid Media Source), I just can't get the image to show. All I get is a "Warning....." error message in the link.
Isn't there a tool out there where I can upload images and edit them within the resource browser?

I just tested the ImagePlus (Image+TV in package management) and get no error. Seems to work just fine.

Sounds like there's something going on with your media sources. Have you changed any of the media sources settings, or added a new media source? Have you changed any of the user security settings (permissions) for any users?

I tried to change the paths in the Media Sources, without luck, so I changed it back to default (empty paths), but ImagePlus is still not working, it's just showing this Warning within the link, and the image is not showing of course. I haven't changed any user settings or permissions, so I really am clueless of what could be wrong there. I do recall though, that I had the same issue on another project already, and same as now, I had to uninstall ImagePlus and go without it, which is really a shame, because I would like to have a crop tool, other than the automatic phpthumbsof.

Any other ideas what could be wrong? Could it be an issue on the server? I am with godaddy, and everything else worked so far.

According to your older posts, you've had issues with images in the past. GoDaddy and Imagemagick can be troublesome, as others have posted about.

So yep, sounds like you've got a server issue. They may be able to help, but GoDaddy is one of everyone's least favorite host. How much do you love GoDaddy anyway? There are far better hosting solutions available and no one would blame you if you jumped ship. Are you using Reseller hosting or client purchased GoDaddy?

Godaddy is working fine for me otherwise so far, I only had issues with ImagePlus, and some other issues where all of a sudden no images where showing anymore in the file browser. But I could resolve them by simply reinstalling everything.
I do have clients who host with godaddy, and I also have my own hosting there, for some of my clients and some of my own projects. I am ok with them so far, just hoping the issues don't pile up, because domain transfers are always a pain in the **, and I have a few.

So you think it could be imagemagick giving trouble? But why only with that particular package ImagePlus?

You don't have to transfer the domains to move sites to another host. I have plenty of clients who remain on GoDaddy or others for domains. And FWIW, I didn't have to touch a single site to move from Hostgator to SkyToaster when I jumped ship. They moved all the sites for me while I sat back and watched. Plus, the small reseller package is $10/mo cheaper.

I couldn't answer why or what, you'll probably want to talk to GoDaddy support. Run a google search for "modx imagemagick godaddy" and see what you come up with. Maybe there's a solution out there?

Yes I did know that I can leave the domains with godaddy and just get hosting somewhere else, I just prefer to keep everything with one provider, to keep the overview, since I am managing quite a few domains. I used to host with domainfactory.de, which are excellent and by far the best provider I've had in over 12 years, but their interface is only in German, so it's a little difficult if you have clients who want their own domain admin but only speak English So now I am partially with godaddy, and partially with df.
