SOLVED: TwitterX - How to change the date format?

I'm using TwitterX v1.2 to pull in a twitter feed but I'd like to change the way the date is formatted. I've tried adding a date formatter to the placeholder in the tpl chunk like this: [[created_at:date=`%A, %B %e, %Y`]] with no luck, the date just disappears. Any thoughts?

Basically just needed to first convert the output to a unix timestamp and then to the date format I needed.
