Answered Articles 1.6.8-pl: autopost to Twitter stopped working suddenly

Suddenly autoposting articles to Twitter doesn't functioning anymore. I can't get any grip on it. There are no errors reported in manager. First I thought that authorisation was the problem so I did a re-authorisation by calling the twitter.auth.php. The response from Twitter was succesful and I can see Articles being validated in my Twitter-account.

In the settings of Articles both options "Enable Update Services" and "Send To Twitter" are enabled.
I use Articles 1.6.8-pl on MODX Revolution 2.2.8-pl

Somebody any ideas?

I don't know the direct answer to your problem, but I do know that Twitter changed their API. Maybe that's the problem.

Thanks! I noticed that so I guess I have to wait for new version of Articles for new Twitter API.

Thanks Michiel, that one was a very succesful solution you gave me! I will send de developer of Articles your solution so he can fix this issue in feature release.

For the record, the bug described by mintnl finally got fixed in Articles 1.6.9.
