    Hi,

In editarea when you click a line, the color of the line goes yellow and the syntax highlighting is turned off for that line.

Is there any way to disable these 2 settings?

    Thanks

I don’t think that this is controlled by any configuration parameter.
All I could tell quickly is that it seems EditArea uses a div id="selection_field" to represent the current line.
You might have some luck if you delve into the javascript.
I also noticed the other day that EditArea is at a newer version. I’m not sure how much effort is involved in updating the MODx plugin.
All I do know is that after months of using it, I couldn’t live without it.

        Yeah,

I couldnt live without it either, I write all my code by hand, tinymce is good but I can do it a lot faster by hand.
I trawled through the js and css, removed some functions 1 by 1, ran editarea, checked it the highlight was disabled, and put back in the functions if they had no effect (so I put back in all the functions grin).
I can live with the highlight, and it’s such a great piece of software I can’t really complain, I just tend to make fewer mistakes when I can see the coloring of the line I am editing.
