When I go to backup my site I notice that there are several files in the cache directory, I was wondering if I should backup those files as well? Then on the next backup do I replace them or do I increment them to the existing ones?

There are a few steps I always take before doing a backup. I clear the manager’s event log and manager user log, and clear the cache. I also make sure to clear all the overhead on the database tables before backing up the database.

I guess that by clearing the cache you avoid having to deal with the cache files themselves. Makes sense.
