    My modx_manager_log is huge (over 10K entries). I have tried the clear log functions from within the manager but they did not clear the database. Is it OK for me to simply delete the old entries or will this cause a problem.

    This in 0.9.6 I have not updated this site (to chicken to do so at the moment)

    Edited: I had personalized table prefix, changed it to the generic modx_

      So if you don’t have a table prefix of MODx the clearing doesn’t work? If so, please file that as a bug!

        That should not be a problem...from empty_table.processor.php
        $sql = "TRUNCATE TABLE $dbase.`".$table_prefix."manager_log`";

        Exactly how did you try to empty the log?

          I am sorry, I did not express my edit well, I had just changed the title of the post since I had used a custom table name it was to specific to me so I changed it to the standard modx_ prefix to make it more generic. Nothing to do with any action...no bug.

          Again, I feel stupid (it’s been a tough day). What I did was clear the System Event log from the manager thinking that this would clear the manager_log table. I now notice that they are not at all related. After looking again I don’t see a function to clear the manager_log in the manager, I guess that I need to do this directly in the db. Or is there some way of doing this in the manager?

            First, search for manager actions. When it returns, you’ll see a link to empty the manager log. Try that one and see if it works.

              Reports -> Manager Actions, then click the "Search" button. You’ll get a lits of manager actions with a bit of text that includes a link to empty the logs.

                Thats great, thanks so much. It makes perfect sense now but it did not seem to be what I was looking for when I first looked.

                  I know what you mean; I’ve been thinking off and on for a long time now that that link should be a bit more prominently displayed.
