    Hi folks.
Has anyone had any luck getting the ActivationEmail plugin working and if not what did you do to trouble shoot?

I've installed it via Package Manager, checked that the Plugin and Chunks are in place and I never get an email successfully generated to my fictional user.

I've checked my spam folder, setup several users and ensured the email address of the users was an account I receive email on. My Revo install (2.2.8) on MODX Cloud is successfully generating other emails (forgot password, reset password) etc.

This question has been answered by eladnova. See the first response.

First, just to make sure, try using QuickEmail with the same settings. Use these properties in the QuickEmail snippet tag (with the correct to, fromName, and sender):

      &debug=`1`
      &message=`some message`
      &subject=`Some Subject`
      &to=``
      &fromName=``
      &emailSender=``

Are you activating the users Manually?

          Hi Bob
I tried the QuickEmail snippet with and without the properties and successfully received all test emails.

To answer your previous question, I am activating users manually in the manager.
Still a mystery why I am not getting any email notifications when I specify my own email addresses as the test users.

I looked at the Error Log and see the following. Seems to be the culprit but am unsure how to fix.

[2013-06-20 04:44:26] (ERROR @ /manager/index.php) Encountered empty IN condition with key usergroup

IIRC, ActivationEmail doesn't do anything with user groups.

Do you have another plugin the might fire when a user is saved (e.g., DefaultUserGroup)?

              Hi Bob
No I don't have any other plugin like that installed.
I reinstalled and had an interesting error message regarding the OnUserBeforeSave plugin.

I'm not sure how to remedy...

Got it working. I manually removed the plugin #18 and upon reinstall everything worked.
                Thanks for the followup, Bob.
