Is there an upgrade path for an old TP3.2 release to a more recent 1.0.10? I assume this could be achieved by upgrading the site from one version to another up to 1.0.10 but where can i download the old MODx releases?

I've slept since then

I still have no clue what "TP" is.
If you can upgrade to 0.9.6 (and everything works), you should be able to go from there to the current version in one step. AFAIK, all the intermediate upgrades will be performed during the install.
this is what i hope for as well but where do i get a 0.9.6 or earlier release?
I have copies of 0.9.6.1-pl and 0.9.6.2-rc2 that might work. PM me with your email address (and a reminder of what you want) and I'll send them to you.
The later releases are here:
http://modx.com/download/evolution/previous-releases/ in case you have to install some intermediate ones (upgrading from 0.9.6 to 1.0.0 might be a good idea).
You might also have to disable your modules, which could possibly interfere with some upgrades.
If it gets to be too much trouble, you might want to just try a manual upgrade to Revolution using Provisioner.

When upgrading like that, be careful not to upgrade the snippets. Some of them have changed their properties, and your original snippet calls will be broken. It's better to continue using the original snippets, then upgrade each snippet separately and make sure the new version work. It's easier to fix the snippet properties one at a time than to figure out what's wrong with your page if several snippets need to have their properties adjusted.
And if any snippets are crashing things completely, you can disable them by putting a space after the opening bracket ([). You'll see the snippet tag on the page, but the snippet won't execute.
