Hi,
A bit of a strange one. I am using getcache to save a resource heavy set of elements, for a page to a custom partition. All seems to be working fine, the cache folder is created with the 9 individual files for the element call. When I clear the cache manually from the clear cache button in the back end, the partition remains intact and the page loads fine. But when I edit any resource or create a new one then save, the partition folder is deleted and has to be rebuilt.
Any insight into what simple thing I'm missing would be awesome. What are the differences between the clear cache action and the save button of the resources?
Cheers
You might try the CacheMaster extra, which allows you to clear the cache only for the resource being saved.

Thanks Bob.
I tried using CacheMaster as well to get the same results which led me to thinking something was overiding the save function. Turns out the babel plugin we have installed used clearcache() rather than the newer refresh() method of cachemanager, and thus cleared the custom partition I had created.
Changed the to two lines of code in the babel plugin to refresh() rather than clearcache() and now all is working.
Good catch. Thanks for reporting that.
