Moving site to new hosting: too hard!

I am moving a site to ixwebhosting. I moved the files, dumped the mysql database and imported it do the new server, adapted the config.inc.php file. I run the site to test under a temporary url (provided by ixwebhosting) before update dns to new hosting server.

The problem is, the main page displays ok (not completely without layout), but when I tried to open the manager page, it always directs to the old server.
Ex.: domain is www.abc.com
http://temp_url --> display the site on new server
but http://temp_url/manager --> redirect to http://www.abc.com/manager, which is the old server.

I guess there is something wrong with path settings so that the Modx always link to the domain name (old server), instead of the path on new server.

Could you give me advice to fix the problem? Updating DNS to new server may fix problem. But I only one to update DNS when site new server works well.

Upload the original install folder, then run the installer in upgrade mode to fix the paths issue.

After that problem is solved, I would recommend upgrading to the latest evolution version.

You also might want to check your .htaccess file.

Running the installer solves the problem. Thanks breezer.
Note that I run by http://temp_url/install/index.php

Now I face with another problem with new host.
- On old server, when I click on any link, only necessary parts (page body) of page loaded. Link to old server http://www.huybrothers.com/
- On new server, the whole page loaded, even the header. Link to new server http://d6468597.u55.c14.ixinstant.com/

What should I do now?

Try clearing the cache and use the domain you want to be used. It should clear that up for you.
