    Hi Guys,

So my apologies if this has already been discussed but I couldn't really find anything and to be completely honest I want sure what a good search term would be so here goes.

I have a website where I work that is constantly updated by users with editor accounts (they dont do any dev but they create/edit resources and make changes to things like the menu structure but not much beyond that). This website is on MODX Cloud as a production cloud.

We also have a duplicate version of the site as a development cloud for the developers to work on and do other things, testing and so forth. Recently we used the dev cloud to add a fairly large new part of the site and it took a fair amount of time to build. The problem is that while we were building this new part of the site the production version was still frequently getting updated by the editors and the content and structure of the site was changing and by the time we were done with the development the 2 sites were quite different.

Is there a way without constantly creating snapshots to just replicate resources and changes to resources as they are created / edited to the development cloud? Is it possible to write a script and put it somewhere in the cloud and make the 2 clouds talk to eachother?

Sorry if this is written badly (im generally bad at explaining things like this haha) but any help or nudge in the right direction would be greatly appreciated...

    Thanks in advance!

    Matt
    • You might be able to use a plugin in prod to insert the resource into the dev database at the same time it's saved.
