Yes. I'm using Chrome.
Thanks for the update on this.
When i last checked this ended up thinking the issue was directly related to an specific RTE.
Will try myself again today to see if problem can be tracked down and isolated.
UPDATE:
I've made a DIFF between the two states to compare before/after the tab with RichText is clicked and found something weird:
an ID is being added to the HTML node
Maybe someone knows if this is a normal behavior. I don't have much experience with ExtJS
Why an id is added to the root node of the entire page when this specific tab is clicked?
Note the id="ext-gen386" being added on the <html> tag

+<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" lang="en" xml:lang="en" class=" ext-strict x-viewport"><head>
Along with a bunch of other default states in the head script there is:
<script type="text/javascript">
Ext.onReady(function() {
MODx.defaultState = {"ext-gen386-tree":"\/Files"};
});
</script>
Other small changes are applied when clicking the tab but seems they are not directly offending and are part of the normal behavior for switching the tab on/off and making the tab active:
this css classes are added/removed in the DIVs of Tabs
x-tab-strip-active
x-hide-display
UPDATE:
The id attribute is not being added to the <html> tag when using Firefox
