    Hi there,
I saw on this forums site when you go to register form, the captcha math operator that they use was not a symbol, instead they use the word "Plus" or "Minus".
I know that there is a advantage of using this for spam bot protection. Because the spam bots was unable to read the word. Is there anyway that i can achieve this format? or any snippets i need to create?

    Many thanks!

My guess is that if the bot can recognize the + sign, it can also recognize the word "plus."

The best approach is to make the equation an image. The Captcha plugin does that and, in theory, it can be used with any form. SPForm with the math option works that way.

I honestly don't know. I know you could use it in your own code, but I don't know if you can get Login to check the correct $_SESSION variable to validate the submission.

You might be able to do it with preHook and/or postHook or some JavaScript that calls an Ajax processor. Doing it with JS might not be completely secure, but I doubt if many people would take the trouble to hack it just to be able to register and I'm sure the bots wouldn't know how to handle it.

I think there might be some comments in the Captcha code that could help.

Someday, I'm going to modify Login/Resister to have a Captcha option, but not any time soon.
