Is there a way to change template upon user login? I would like my client to see the new template after login in from the front end, is it possible? If so, how?
Thanks.
Edit: I'm using MODx Revo, the current template is the "Base Template" with Login extra, upon client login I would like the new template to show up instead of the "Base Template".

Wouldn't it be easier to have login redirect the user to a resource grouped area of the site?

Seeing as you are a new MODx user, do you understand how Templates work in MODx?
You can set the template for any resource using the "template" dropdown when you edit it. When the page is viewed from the front end, it will use that template. You don't have to use the base template at all if you don't want to.
Thanks you guys for answering. I'm learning MODx, thanks to Shawn's book. @sotwell I'm understanding how templates work in MODx, I just thought there was a way to give certain user a different template once logged in. I used to manage that on joomla, which Im moving away from since it's getting hacked like every minute now.
Shawn, thanks for the link, I'll try that method. BTW, your book is really good, I have the kindle version and as soon as I can afford it, I'll get the printer version and also the MODX Official Guide by Bob.
Shawn, on your book whenever you mention "Manger" do you mean "Manager"?

LOL. Yes. We got most of those, but still they plague me...
BTW I am glad you like the book. Could you write a review for it on amazon, my site, or even your site like some others have done...

I actually got my first Slashdot submission with a review of the book. Got the usual Slashdot grumps grumping about PHP and such, but according to Jay they were getting something like 200 hits an hour on the MODx site coming in from slashdot.org. So any reviews will draw at least some attention.
If you look closely at my book, I bet you could find some examples of "Manger" there too.

It's really easy to do when you're typing fast.
The worst one for me was typing "modx" when I meant to type "mode." I've typed MODX so many times that it's almost impossible for me to type the word "mode" on the first try.
