    Howdy folks,

I’m trying to integrate Slideshow Pro Director with MODx.  I’m trying to simplify the album creation process as much as possible for a client and I need to figure out a way to add a wee bit o’ .js to MODx Weblinks.

Here’s what I’m trying to achieve: http://dev4.leifmiltenberger.com/gallery-test.html  This is a static page (not being generated by MODx.)  The sub-nav links in the Gallery menu have this added to the link tag: onclick="sspLoadAlbum(’album-1’);"

Those links open a new Album in the Slideshow Pro gallery without re-loading the current page.  Ideally, I’d like the form where you edit the Weblink details to have another field, just below the Link Attributes, where the client could enter the album ID (eg: album-1) and MODx would add the rest of the .js to the link for her.

Does anyone out there know how this could be accomplished?

    Much thanks...

    - Leif.

I’m a little confused by the subject; I’ve integrated Slideshow Pro Flash galleries, as well as the Director site (for managing the images/albums) with a MODx deployment. But you only seem to be trying to "integrate" the Flash gallery and not the Ajax-powered Director site in this post, contrary to the subject-line? Regardless, can’t you just build the menu from the list of galleries in the Slideshow Pro database, or perhaps even from the XML of the gallery configurations?

Unfortunately, I just used the SSP Flash movie itself to allow gallery selection (see http://www.steelpennypub.com/gallery.html) and I wrote an xPDO database layer for the SSP data tables to integrate users and access images from the gallery directly from MODx snippets/content (i.e. random images pulled into sidebars, etc.). I did not really integrate the Director site to any extent, other than having user management activities in MODx also control the SSP user data.

Hi folks - thanks for your feedback.

I think what I’m trying to do with MODx & SSP would be more accurately described as "combining" them, rather than integrating them.

In any case, it’s kind of a moot point now because I figured out a different way to deal with the issue. Integrating the two is something that interests me quite a bit, but it’s beyond the scope of my current project so I’m afraid it’ll have to wait until the next lull in my freelance schedule.

Thanks for your help - I appreciate it very much.

        Cheers,

        - Leif.
