Navigation , ajaxGallery ....

Hi !

I’m a newbie with modx. I want to add navigation menu to my site.(testing it on local computer)

I want to add one horizontal menu on the top , menu on the sidebar, and also menus for categories last articles, archives, most popular, ..etc and to use that links with CSS.
I read for the Wayfinder, but is there another way to do it? Because I don’t understand yet the chunks,
snippets ..

Also I find some ajax based gallery, how can I use them with modx ?

first start by creating you documents and placing them in different containers.
One container for every menu.

and set the startid for wayfinder the id of the container. place the wayfinder in the 3 places of your template.
have a look at the generated source code and try to understand foe template parameters work
