I have a fairly simple question, hopefully this makes sense.

I've got the main Articles page set up to appear in the Wayfinder menu - this is working fine. My client has asked that I add another page (a regular document) under this, so it appears as a sub-menu item under the Articles page on the Wayfinder menu.

So in practice, the main Articles page is labeled in Wayfinder as "News" and they have a "Photo Galleries" page they want to appear as a sub-menu item under "News". The normal drag-drop method in the resource tree isn't working, so I figure this has something to do with the fact that Articles is a custom resource and this can't be done with the usual method.

Is there any way to achieve what I'm trying to do, through a Wayfinder, Articles, or other tweak? Any suggestions would be great!

Instead of drag-and-drop, can you just update the resource's parent to be the id of the Articles container?

Thanks! That worked, I completely forgot that I was able to do that.

Unfortunately though, that resource has now disappeared from the tree - I'm guessing that is because all child resources of the Articles resource are hidden by default. Any ideas how to get it to display in the tree again?

I can still access it by punching the resource ID into the URL string, so it's still technically able to be accessed by the manager.

        thanks again for the advice

seems not to be possible to show children of an articles-container in the tree.
          Tried with show_children_in_tree:1

You could have a MIGXdb - grid - TV in the articles-container, which shows all children, which are not articles and have links in the grid to edit them or edit them with MIGXdb itself.

Thanks for checking that out, I'll look into MIGXdb. I've never used it before but have noticed lots of talk about it in the forums.

I was also thinking about using getResourcesField - and pointing the call towards the [[*content]] of a visible resource on the tree. Just an idea.

Anyway thanks again guys for your input and advice.
