I'm about to do some edits on a client's MODx site - first time using MODx - is there a way I can identify the name of the original MODx site template used? I have manager access. [ed. note: charcoaldesign last edited this post 13 years, 4 months ago.]

      Which version of MODx?

A site can use several templates.

You can see what template a page is using by editing the resource and checking which template it is assigned.

To view templates for Evo, use Elements->Manage Elements, and the Templates tab.

For Revo, it's the Elements tab in the left-hand Tree, and the Templates section.

Sorry, to clarify, I mean the overall site theme (template) name, not the page template. I can't seem to locate any trace of it in html/css. I'm sure the developer mentioned it was originally modified from a purchased template. Not super critical but I would like to review the original template's set up.
        It's using Revolution 2.1.3-pl (traditional).

There may not be one. Many MODX sites are created from scratch. If there is one, you may be able to find it by poking around in the assets/ directory.

You can also look at the Chunks and Templates (on the Elements Tab) and see if their names or categories give anything away.
