    Description of Problem:
Pretty self-explanatory: when I want to add files to an /images folder in the media folder under the files tab, .png, .jpg or about any other image file is transferred correctly. However, everytime I try to upload an SVG, the dialog tells me 'svg file extension not allowed'.

Is there a workaround for this? Like editing the allowed file types? Or maybe adding the SVG's as ressources?
Converting all the svg's to png is really only a last-resort option.

You can modify allowed file types from system settings. Filter to area 'File System' and add ,svg to uploadable file types.

Odd that it is not there by default
