Is it possible to make a resource to have multiple parents under MODX Evolution? Literally or figuratively, some workaround?

As an example, let us say there are:

    - A page named "Cow"
    - A page named "Domestic animals of Europe"
    - A page named "Domestic animals of South America"

How can one make the "Cow" page to become a child resource both to "Domestic animals of Europe" and "Domestic animals of South America"? Or a workaround for it, a simulation?

I need this for Ditto displaying lists of child resources (each with image TV) excerpts. Some pages must have common child pages or simulation of having common child pages. So all these lists of child resources must have several identical thumbnail + text items displayed.

Have a look at symlinks http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Using+Resource+Symlinks

Symlinks mean Revolution, I was talking about MODX Evolution. So thanks, but this in not it. Revolution will be my next quest.

You can categorize using TVs as tags. There are a few snippets for displaying lists of resources based on TV categories. http://modx.com/extras/package/tvtagcloud

That may be the thing. I am going to try it soon. Thanks!

IIRC, Evolution has Weblinks, which I think are more appropriate than Symlinks for your use case.

Weblinks do not have any (?) content except link itself. I need at least an image TV. Trying Tvtagcloud seems the most promising so far.

Not true - it depends on assigned template for the weblink resource.

Revo's weblinks work the same as they ever did; they forward to the linked URL whether it be internal or external. You can either use the URL to the weblink or the linked URL in Wayfinder menus:
&useWeblinkUrl - When set to 1, the link specified in a weblink document will be output to the placeholder [wf.link] instead of the link to the weblink.

Symlinks load the content of the resource linked to. Otherwise the page will use the symlink's meta data (template, alias, title, any TVs etc).

                      - You are right. I have tried adding Weblinks to resources and they (Weblinks) do have all TVs their assigned templates have. And it is possible to put into these TVs content different from the one of TVs on the original page. It does not affect the page (the one Weblink leads to) when it is opened, but it works for Ditto, supplying information Ditto uses in forming its list of child resources. That means you have solved my question. Many thanks!

So I got the MODX lesson: whatever it is - try first and then care for the documentation you stumble upon Internet.
