Trouble with Access Permissions & Cannot Log In to Manager in ModX 2.2.6

Hello,

I am trying setup a user in my Modx manager that can login, edit, update and publish to our blog (I am using the Articles extra for the blog). I want this user to only have access to the articles/blog resource and nothing else. I have poured through other forums and wikis and believe I have a solid foundation of how to do this. The problem I have is that when I create the user that will update the blog, I must specify them as a super user, otherwise I cannot log in to the manager. Apparently designating them as a super user overrides any access controls I specify for the user. When I do not specify them as a super user and try to log in, the login page simply refreshes without an error message. I tried clearing all sessions both in the manager and manually from the modx_sessions table but I still have the same issue. Any ideas?

If you setup a User Group for this user then you need to ensure that user group has context access to the "mgr". Also provide any detail around your setup of any custom Access Policies you may have created for this user group including the template selected to build the permissions from.

To review the User Group context access from the Manager main menu select Security -> Resource Groups -> Right mouse click the user group -> Select "Update User Group" -> then select the "Context" tab.
