Hi there,
I'm listing real estate products and my client would like to distinguish some of them whenever he has a crush on it. Only 1 to 3 resources should be concerned at a time. Those resources shall be listed in their main category, i mean with their siblings.
I guess duplicating those "favorite" resources in another container isn't a good idea. I thought of something like a getResources call in which the client specifies and edits the targeted IDs but that's already too tricky in my opinion.
What are your suggestions about how to do that in a proper an easy way ?
Sorry for that ⇧ , I'm no dev but I wanna try

Hi kehezen,
Isn't a symlink an option ?
What are you trying to achieve (mostly visually talking) ?
Having those records listed in the front/home page ?
Having a particular CSS class to distinguish those in their respective categories ?
I assume previous "crushes" should be automatically removed when a new one i added (on which constraints ?) -- this would, IMO, involve a plugin which would check your constraint(s) (OnDocFormSave for example) and remove previous entries that need to be removed.
All in all, some ideas :
* a "crush" TV (checkbox)
* a system setting with the resources IDs (comma separated or "piped" |) -- ClientConfig might be useful here (according it supports resources combobox)
Hope that will help.
Cheers
Thanks for your answer Romain,
I thought there might be something to do with symlinks but until now I never had to or tried to handle them. They may be a solution in my case. ClientConfig also is something I forgot and that could be useful in my case. I'll check both. Thank you again and again.

While typing this post, I think of a getResources call with a limit of 1 or 3, and a condition 'where tvCrush = 1'. How bad would this be ?

Problem solved then
