Answered Containers don't get templates applied

    Hi I have run into a weird problem, maybe its supposed to be like this. I am trying to implement wayfinder and found that in revo, when a resource has the container box checked, the template will not be applied and I will get just pure text.

    I found this previously when we were moving our install to the cloud to migrate to revolution. So I had to make all containers as just containers, no contents. But now I am playing with wayfinder and find I can put one resource into another and that is ok, as long as the dreaded container checkbox is left empty.

    For wayfinder, I haven't figured it out, but this could be a problem. So is this supposed to be this way or what? Why can't the template be applied when its a container?

      It should not be that way, all pages should get the template assigned to the resource. Can you provide a URL for a bad page, and one for a good page?

        Usually containers are just like any resource, and can have templates, tvs and everything else aresource should have.
        What happens when you try to apply a template to the container?

          Ha I was wondering if it was intentional or not!

          By making this page as a container (it already was technically, but didn't check the box), it no longer gets any styling for me, on chromium and firefox...

            Try putting <base href="[[++site_url]]" /> in the template head after the meta tags and before any of the link tags.

                  The online chat is a company called Zoopim, based in Singapore. I really wanted to get a solution on the site, and couldn't find an easier way, its tough because there needs to be a server to receive these messages and that could have been a problem for me.

                  I went ahead and paid for 2 agents instead of just using the free one...not sure if it was a good idea, few leads come through the chat.

                      Yeah I needed an insta-solution so went with a product, 6 month commitment only. They make the data in the backend look pretty cool, provide some analysis, but so far it hasn't been utilized much. They have some triggers that let me try to connect with visitors, but I haven't explored them yet. Webim looks like a good solution, I might try to implement that when this one is finished. Thanks for the heads up!
