There was a recent discussion where it was explained that you don't really need an extra "helper" TV for handling images, but now I can't find it. Can somebody either explain it again, or provide a link to that forum post?

Are you talking about this post?

In most cases you don't need a "helper" TV and you can use the
      inputTVtype - config
only if you need some special custom-TV-specific configurations, done with the TV's input-options, you need a "helper" - TV.

To get the currently possible options in the json (if you don't want make use of the MIGX-configurator) for inputTVtypes, view the generated json-string in edit-raw-mode or do an export to package and view the generated js.file

Thank. I did some digging, found a few references, did some trial-and-error, and have textarea and image MIGx TVs with no problems.

Now to figure out how to get the image-type MIGx TV to use a media source.
