I've been reading many, many posts on this issue, but most of them are outdated and have no real answer. What is your workflow for developing on a local server and pushing changes up to the production server once tested?
I want to work on my own xampp server at home so I can break things and not have to worry about my site going down. I also need to be using git. What is the workflow for using source control on a development server and then pushing changes to the live site? It has become obvious to me that editing snippets, chunks, templates, etc inside of MODx is not very scalable and forces everything to be in the database.
What are your workflows?
