I've played around with Stripe, and it's very nice. I'm not so sure about this third party that provides a turnkey solution using it; I've never heard of them before. The physical card machine alone would be useful for shops with a physical and a web presence. They don't seem too expensive, unless they have hidden costs somewhere.

Looks like they used to use PayPal, but apparently have switched to using Stripe in the last couple of years. Interesting. [ed. note: sottwell last edited this post 10 years, 11 months ago.]

Hi yes... I have had experience with them and did some research. USBSwiper has been around since 2007. The swipe solution was originally created for PayPal but they added on other processors such as Stripe and others and it is still used with PayPal as well. They do not charge any other fees other than their small upfront software fee and a small monthly fee and then give you the card reader for free. They do not charge any transaction fees or other fees as they leave those up to the actual merchant account. Overall, their system is quite easy to use and very inexpensive for the power it supplies and it can also be integrated with their bar code scanners and their small thermal receipt printers.
