Recently I've been having problems using the filesystem to upload files. Not sure what could be the issue. I've ensured that my server upload settings are sufficient through a php.ini file in the root that hast the following
memory_limit = 64M
post_max_size = 200M
upload_max_filesize = 200M
max_input_time = 200
max_execution_time = 200
Whenever I try to upload, the dialog comes up, I add the file, upload, says that it's okay, but when I refresh the folder the file is not there. I've checked in FTP and as well it is not there.
Uploading images through the gallery component work, but not via the filesystem.
Not sure what's the issue, as this has not happened before and seems rather small. I can just upload the images via FTP, but if this is a persistent problem, it will be problematic when I have to hand it over to my client. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Did you check the permissions of the corresponding folder? It's very important that the modx directory is recursively owned by the Apache user and the Apache user group. (assuming that you are running httpd)
When you are talking about the gallery component vs. the filesystem, are you talking about the same folders?

The permissions on the folders are the same.
If I use the Gallery Component, create a new album and upload- this works.
But if I just view the filesystem, right-click, upload file.. say in my images folder.. or even in the same album folder that the Gallery component just created, nothing gets uploaded. Not sure why.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Did you check the error.logs?
