Phantom unapproved text in threaded comments using articles

This seems like a Quip issue but I checked with the same quip version I have installed stand alone on another location and could not reproduce the bug so it only happens when using Articles.

Basically when using threaded comments with a depth of 5 (or anything beyond 1) whenever you try to reply there appears to be an Unaproved`]] text at the top (where the first comment of the thread should be) and no comments beneath it except for the last one (the one I hit reply on).

This also breaks the HTML since it seems to output only a portion of the code (I even tested on the blank template).

The only way I managed to get it working is by setting the depth to just 1, then all replies work fine but anything beyond 1 it breaks. If I have a setting beyond 1 and I reply on the very first message of the thread, it shows correctly. But hitting reply on any other comment beneath the first one seems to be broken.

Quip and Article are both up to date.
