    Hi,
    I am still very new to MODX so please excuse me if I am asking newbie questions at this moment.

    I have the latest MODX normal install (2.2.7-pl) running on a local windows machine with XAMPP (1.8.1, PHP 5.4.7). Installation of the MIGX (latest) I did exactly following the guidelines. I added MIGX cause I want to use it for creating something similar to the example here: http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/MIGX.Varying+layout-boxes

    Evrything seems to be working except I get many "Notice popups" (php messages being displayed above the MODX manager interface). Can I just ignore those? Or can I do something about it?

    For example, after starting the Configuration and Package Manager (from Components menu) I got this message, 6 times:
    Notice: Undefined variable: packageName in C:\xampp\htdocs\modx\core\components\migx\model\migx\migx.class.php on line 299

    I am getting the same message, yet only 3 times, when just opening the home page resource, or any other resource.

    I set up a TV following the example for the Varying layout-boxes, when I click the "Add Item" from within the Template Variables, I get similar messages:
    Notice: Undefined variable: packageName in C:\xampp\htdocs\modx\core\components\migx\model\migx\migx.class.php on line 299
    Notice: Undefined index: MIGX_formname in C:\xampp\htdocs\modx\core\components\migx\processors\mgr\fields.class.php on line 110
    Notice: Undefined index: MIGX_formname in C:\xampp\htdocs\modx\core\components\migx\processors\mgr\fields.class.php on line 110
    Notice: Undefined index: MIGX_formname in C:\xampp\htdocs\modx\core\components\migx\processors\mgr\fields.class.php on line 110
    Notice: Undefined index: formcaption in C:\xampp\htdocs\modx\core\components\migx\processors\mgr\fields.class.php on line 138
    Notice: Undefined variable: counts in C:\xampp\htdocs\modx\core\components\migx\model\migx\migx.class.php on line 942

    Any help on this is highly appreciated. Thank you.

      Is this the latest MIGX? (2.4.2)
      Will have a look into it.
      For now I think you can set the system-setting 'debug' to 0

        you can buy me a beer, if you like MIGX

        Thanks for your reply.
        Yes, I have the latest version of MIGX. Changing the debug setting is the same as changing the error_reporting behavior, right?

        The PHP.ini was by default set at:
        error_reporting = E_ALL | E_STRICT
        I have changed that now to:
        error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE

        Notices now do not appear anymore. Is it a safe way to do so?
