    Hi there have a major problem with one of my sites using Webloginpe

    And will not work in latest versions of IE

    I have searched through forums and found some threads, and have changed permissions on js file ieButtonFix.js and indeed have moved the file from assets/snippets/webloginpe/js/ to assets/js as per a solution but still does not work - all works fine in Chrome and FF.

    When you go to fill the form out at http://www.dementiacarematters.com/registration.html in later version of IE it just refreshes the page and the login data is just refreshed on the page huh

    I'm sure I had this working when you could turn compatibility on - but now not the case.

    Help !

          I'm running EVO 1.08 and PHP version 5.2.17

          I've stripped the Weblogin Code down into a minimal template to test - and still works in FF & GC

          No error messages in console when I look

            ie 9 didn't work for me. but chrome worked... not to sure...

            heres my guess remove enctype="multipart/form-data" in <form id="wlpeUserRegisterForm" action="loginietest.html" method="POST" enctype="multipart/form-data"> that worked for others with a ie form not submitting when i googled...
            perhaps also make sure doctype is right for what you need.

            i use
            <!DOCTYPE html>

            in my forms <form class="form" action=" link to action page or [[~[[id]]]]" method="post">

            my best guess for ya...

              Your test code is very messy. You have a div nested inside your p tag.

              My best guess would be to remove the <p></p> surrounding your main div and see if that helps. IE9 is less tolerant of errors in html but is not the monster IE7 or IE8 was.

              I would also check your form action URL as well like Jstump above suggests.

              Hope that helps,

              Paul.

                OK latest update - now have it working across IE9 and IE10

                The initial fix we put in place for IE9 worked but not on IE10

                First off a snippet was created [[ie_ver_emulate]] and this was put in the header at the top

                <?php
                /*
                 ie_ver_emulate Snippet
                 Copyright (c) 2013 by Aleksander Maksymiuk, http://setpro.pl/
                */

                preg_match('/(MSIE)\s(\d)\.(\d)/', $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'], $matches);
                $ie_ver = (int)(isset($matches[1]) && isset($matches[2]) ? intval($matches[2]) : 0);

                switch ($ie_ver) {
                    case 7:
                    case 8:
                    case 9:
                        return '<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE' . $ie_ver . '" />';
                    default:
                        return '';
                }
                ?>

                This worked well for IE9 but not IE10 !!

                Then did a simple change, and I thought we'd left the snippet in, but no, anyway all works !

                <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
                <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
                	<head>
                <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE8" >

                So after a bit more

                  I must admit that I have generally ignored IE10 at the moment. Glad you solved it smiley
