Display Tags random rather than alphabetically

    Hi Folks,

    Something has me stumped in Articles....

    In 'Advanced Settings' - 'Tagging' I have 'Tag Listings to Show' set to 20 but this seems to show the first 20 tags ordered alphabetically. Does anyone know to make these random?

      Docs suggest it will allow sortby=`` which may mean you can do:

      &sortby=`RAND()`

        Pretty sure Articles just uses TagLister for it's tag stuff, depending on how you've set up your templates you should be able to alter the taglister call wherever the tags are being output. smiley

          Thanks for the head up re Taglister. Got the tags to display with this....

          [[!tagLister? &tv=`articlestags` &target=`9` &parents=`9` &limit=`100`]]

          Still no joy with &sortby=`RAND()`

          Maybe I'm missing something obvious

            You and I both! Just re-checked the documentation and the switch is sortBy not sortby and the only two options are "tag" or "count". There's probably a better way to do this with a custom snippet maybe?
