    Hi all,

I’m setting up friendly urls, and I had no problems setting it up, except for one thing: automatic creation of aliases. My end-users aren’t web-savvy, so I want as much as possible to be automated.

It simply doesn’t do anything when I turn it on, it still uses numbers for the pages that doesn’t have a custom alias.

I don’t know where to start looking for errors. I shouldn’t need to add anything to my .htaccess, should I?

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Steffen - just to make sure we are not overlooking something: creating automatic aliases only works for newly created pages after the feature is turned on. It’s not affecting already existing pages. So, is it also not working for new pages in your case?

I see, it works fine for newly created pages.

It would be great if it would work on existing pages that have no alias set, though. wink

        Thanks for the help.

For that, you just need to open en save each of your old pages (hope you don’t have 1000 pages wink )

Aha, I didn’t realise it was generated when the document is saved. Thanks.

No, luckily I don’t have 1000 pages yet wink
